Last night, Harlequin Fun Casino hosted a fun casino in Uxbridge, Middlesex and what a fantastic night it was. 250 guests, a fabulous band, great food, and of course, the star attraction of the night, Harlequin Fun Casino!

The casino tables were busy from the minute the first card was dealt, to the time the party came to a close, and there were a few who managed to make their fun money last the entire night! The winner of the night, who managed to turn his fun money into the most amount of casino chips, was a Mr Fuller, who made £50 into £850 at the roulette table in less than an hour. Most impressive!

We are often asked how many tables you should have at a party, and this is a tricky question to answer. It’s very much up to you, however, we normally recommend one fun casino table for up to 50 guests, and more casino tables as the number of guests increases. Two or more casino tables gives you the advantage to have two different casino games available, giving your guests variety and choice. Your package can be made up of either roulette tables, black jack tables or poker tables. You tell us what you want, and we’ll be able to advise you on the number of casino tables you might need, but when all is said and done, the decision is completely yours. We’ll never tell you to hire more casino tables than you need or want.

Last night we hosted a casino night with 100 guests, and we ran two tables, one Roulette table and one Blackjack table. It was the perfect amount. There were always about 8-10 people playing at the Blackjack table, and an average of 12 people at the Roulette table at any given time. Meanwhile, other guests were elsewhere in the venue enjoying themselves. Everyone who wanted to play had the chance, and those who enjoyed it the most stayed on the tables the entire night!

So as a rough guide, one table per 50 guests is usually perfect, but a lot depends on the venue, the situation of the tables, and any other entertainment which may be going on simultaneously. If you are unsure, please do give us a call and we’ll be able to help you make a decision.

Another Christmas Party Casino in London, and another roaring success. The guests were all over the Roulette table, and I think at one time, we counted about 20 people all watching the Roulette wheel spin. When Mr Michael Bingley put 20 chips on number 23 and it came in, the whoop from the crowd around the table actually drowned out the band temporarily!

I can’t remember a party I have enjoyed so much, and it was all to do with the lovely guests, who were so much fun and a pleasure to entertain.

You can’t beat Christmas in Las Vegas! I always thought I’d hate to be somewhere hot during the festive season. Christmas, to me, is all about getting snug by a fireside and watching the snow fall outside whilst you warm yourself with a mug of hot chocolate. But there’s something oh so wonderfully kitsch about Christmas in Las Vegas. Just when you think the lights can’t get any brighter, they do!  Everywhere you go, carols and Christmas tunes blare out from the casinos, people wrap up warm against the unseasonal chill. (Yes, it does get a little chilly in the desert in December. In fact, last year it snowed when I was there, and not just a little bit!) Vegas makes Christmas even bigger and brighter than it already is. Think Disneyland for grown ups… Minus the daily parade.

A lot of people say that the magic of the season gets lost amongst the razzle dazzle of Las Vegas. I disagree. I think it serves to heighten it. But I guess it depends on the way you look at it. Being a huge fan of the place, it can do no wrong in my eyes. All I’ll say is, try watching the fountains at Bellagio dancing to the Carol of the Bells and try not to get goosebumps. Go on, I challenge you. Watch it.

I sure will be missing you this year LV. I’ll have to compensate with extra sugar in my cocoa to give myself a fake Vegas buzz… sigh.
